Santa Barbara Bank

The Montecito Bank and Trust is now the steward of four large paintings created for a different bank tenant years ago. The artwork is inspired by Santa Barbara County’s agricultural industry; specifically the hands of labor. The bank president at the time saw my labor paintings at Sullivan Goss Gallery nearby and inquired about creating variations for his bank. His parents had worked the fields in an effort to provide opportunities for him and that story helped to initiate and inspire the resulting installation.
